Smoked Cold Brew Coffee

Ingredients

  • 12 oz COARSE GROUND COFFEE
  • 7 cups WATER
  • MILK OR CREAM, IF DESIRED
  • SUGAR, IF DESIRED
  • 12 oz COARSE GROUND COFFEE
  • 7 cups WATER
  • MILK OR CREAM, IF DESIRED
  • SUGAR, IF DESIRED

Preparation

Place half the coffee grounds in a plastic container and slowly pour half the water over the top of the grounds. Add remaining grounds and pour remaining water over the top in a circular motion.

Press the grounds down into the water using the back of a spoon. Cover and transfer to the refrigerator and let sit for 18-24 hours.

Remove from refrigerator and strain into a clean container through a fine mesh strainer or double layer of cheese cloth.

When ready to cook, start your Traeger according to grill instructions. Set temperature to Smoke setting (set to Super Smoke if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill) and preheat, lid closed 10-15 minutes.

Pour cold brew into a shallow baking dish and place directly on the grill grate. Smoke for 1-2 hours depending on desired level of smoke.

Remove from grill and place over an ice bath to cool. Drink as is over ice, with cream or sugar, or use in your favorite coffee recipes. Enjoy!
